This app is pretty handy. I really like the fact that it's easy to use & is very handy. However, it is missing a lot of medical terms. I wish it had more updates. It's a little pricy, but it's definitely helpful. Please bring more updates!
App has tons of information and awesome refresher. Recommend. AEMT
I like this app for review or to refresh my skills. Algorithms and calculators are nice.
What a amazing app giving it anything less than 5 stars would do it injustice
I don't generally write online reviews, but I had to make an exception for this app. As a relatively new volunteer EMT, I have quickly found this to be an indispensable reference tool. A wealth of relevant knowledge in an easy-to-navigate package. Bottom line: It makes me a better EMT.
HIGE waste of money. The app is nothing like I thought it would be. It has tabs at the bottom of the screen for abbreviations, anatomy parts of the body like 'femur' and 'carotid pulse', algorithms that aren't even the new current AHA guidelines for ACLS and PALS. Plus they tried to add in an Aspirin, pulse oximetry, EKG, spinal motion restriction, glucose levels, etc algorithms that are extremely not useful. There are no calculators on this app. No drugs/ drug info, burn calculator, pedi calculator, GCS, pupils, etc. NONE OF IT. This app is misleading. It's not helpful for EMS personnel especially when the ACLS and PALS algorithms are wrong. No pediatric info, no body systems tab..... Just BIG WASTE OF MONEY that I want back. This app is terrible and WAY over priced. You would be better off buying the 'EMS ALS' from informed publishing and the ACLS/PALS advisor. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!
I am studying to become a paramedic. This app is awesome for finding information and for allowing you to be able to study treatments and anatomy without having to tote around multiple text books
Getting ready to take the NREMT-Paramedic and read the reviews and was impressed. The app itself is neat but very limited. The calculators are very cool. This app needs more medications and more specific diagnoses, such as obstetrics. Overall good app, not worth the money.
I would give it more stars if you guys could grant the ability to edit in the app. I had the Pocket PC version and it allowed you to do so. I have additions to the acronyms I'd like to add. Otherwise, awesome app and a lot of info!
Helped me study for my national registry test to become a nationally certified Emt basic. I like how it's rated 12 + for drugs and nudity lol
This app is more expensive, but The features out way the cost. Its best feature is the ability to "see also". It allows for easier cross referencing. Not to mention the multiple calculators available make it a must for any student or EMS provider no matter what level. Thanks for the great app!
It is a great app, at a hands reach. I would like to see some upgrades and changes, but overall a great tool. I would like to see some simple changes like a decimal feature in the dosage and drip calculator. I have this on my PALM version, but it's not on the IPOD version.
Head and shoulders above other EMS apps I've used!
I love it !!!!
This was extremely helpful in studying for my EMT-B exam. To have this information so portable enabled me to be better prepared for the exam!
Rate it 5 stars
Keep it updated creators.
Very useful to me as a private criminal investigator.
Good app just needs updated with more drugs for example
I think this app is really helpful in the field
This app has helped me out a bunch while out on the field. I recommend this to anyone.
I've been using this application for a while now and absolutely love it for quick references and refreshers.
I am an EMT and found this app while browsing one day. It's great to look at everything on treatments, calculators and anatomy. It also lists a bunch of medications which is great to look up since there is no way I know everything out there. If you need an app like this I think it's worth the money.
As a Military Police/EMT you can see it is important to know your stuff. This has it all plus. This can help you save a life.
Post-beta update improved functionality of the dosage calculator. Calc functions make this app a great tool for the toolbox!
This is very nice in the palm. Just needs to have finished version for iPhone. Hopefully soon???? 01/31/11 Like I said very nice app.
Very buggy, many times the keyboard will not clear out of the way so that you can see the screen. The layout is very confusing and the graphics are very poorly rendered (does not look good on iPhone 4's display). Additionally this is a "pre-release/beta" version and as such is not worth $20. Plus isn't that a violation of Apples TOS?
Pro: I like the A&P charts and the way that you can navigate between them. In general the app has descent/good information in it. Cons: For $20 this should be providing better more complete data with overall easier & cleaner user interface. It would be a really good $6 - 8 app. For $20 save your money.
Was not very impressed with this product for the price.... Some of the treatments did not have any information, neither did some of the algorithms.
Love the calculators, images could use updating but over all great app.
Well put together app easy to search information. I've been using it to review things. Has a bunch of calculators that your can't use until the first patch that sound like they would be useful. It's pretty much like the informed ems guide app just with more Tx options more pictures, and alot more user friendly. Update... Finally updated with more thanks
It's a bit buggy (doesn't remember your customized menu), but is a really great resource for emergency medicine, and promises to be an even greater app when it hits 1.0; can't wait! ~ Patagon, EMT-P Update..... It's buggy and although a lot of work clearly went into it, I can't help but fear that the developer just gave up on any real development and has just released it in this alpha form. definitely not worth $20. Even with its bugs fixed, I would say it's worth $5.
This app has proved very useful in the week I've had it. It could use a few upgrades to the anatomy pictures and some of the drug information could be expanded on as well, also it needs more ALS, PALS and ACLS information. I really hope version 1.0 is on it's way very soon!
